Imagine Selling A Million Ebooks

I know John Locke is famous to, at least, a tenth of a million people, thanks to his Donovan Creed series. Even stating that fact, it feels surreal because I couldn't imagine ever having that many people recognize my name. If the time ever came, I would have to write a letter which might begin with, "Dear John, how do you ever handle the popularity and celebrity status?"

It's amazing, when I think about it. I had never heard of John Locke until early October, 2011, and now I address him by first name when speaking about him to my oldest daughter. When I say, "In his book, John mentioned...," she knows exactly who I'm talking about and I share some tidbits with her.

The most amazing thing is that I haven't even read one of John Locke's fiction titles. From what I hear, people either love the books or hate them; I know that I will soon find out. However, I did read his book titled, How I Sold 1 Million eBooks in 5 Months.

At the time I started reading, you could say that I had preconceived notions that the book would not be all it was cracked up to be. Initially, I wondered whether the points discussed could have been stated in the space of an article.

After reading the book, I admit that the points themselves could have been published in an article - but they wouldn't have meant anything to anyone, except John Locke himself. If he was going to reveal his big marketing secret, he might as well have done it the right way - as he did by publishing this eBook. He explained in every day terms how he gained the success he did, building one friendship at a time.

To be honest, I didn't expect to find the goldmine of information which I discovered. Though refreshing, I also didn't expect John to come to my level, as a reader, and provide glimpses of his soul. After all, this was a book based on marketing so what need would John Locke have of sharing aspects of his life with me? There is only one reason I can think of: despite never having met me, he considered me a trusted friend.

I've already employed some of the techniques he encouraged and I'm seeing some results already. They are baby steps but, even though I only started using his system last night, I already have one name on my GBL. Do you have any idea what that means? I would strongly encourage you to find out.

How I Sold 1 Million eBooks in 5 Months is a book I would highly recommend. For writers interested in having their books reach the hands of those who will most appreciate them - their target audience - this book is an invaluable tool. However, I am in no way promoting a quick get rich scheme. If your goal is to get rich by next week, you'll be disappointed in this book. John Locke's way is time consuming but it provides lasting results.

At this time, I would like to invite you to read the author interview. Meanwhile, if you wish to purchase this title on Amazon, click here.
